Welcome to Scruggsy's Pecans! First off, my name is Brian Scruggs and pecans are my passion. Born and raised here, I call Mount Vernon my home. When I first purchased the small farm in 1986, it had only a old, run-down farmhouse and some acreage and looked like something from Green Acres TV show. My father bought a couple of pecans trees for the farm as a house warming gifts for the yard. I never expected much from them, but within a few years, I was filling up buckets with tasty pecans. From this humble begining, grew an orchard consisitng of over 170 trees. Our Scruggsy's Pecans orchard grows Pawnee, Kanza, and Lakota varieties with a few other varieties.
